Should I be looking toward Army or Marines?

Ive been looking into the military for a while and I'm not sure whether I should choose the Army or Marines. I've done research and read that the Marines are trained better than the army in Basic and I want the best training I can get.

I also am considering the potential for an SF career. The problem is, If I cant make it in the SF (I know thats not the right attitude...) I would rather be in the branch with a greater skilled infantry.

Any info on MARSOC?
Army infantry vs USMC infantry?
Green Beret selection process?

Getting into MARSOC is just as hard if not harder than getting into Army SF (Considering MARSOC is much smaller than SF) so if you are looking into the Marines because you somehow think that it will be easier than you need to think again. Marines Basic is longer, the PT standards are higher, and they have higher standards of discipline. Basic Army infantry is not as advanced as Marine Infantry, however I would put Airborne Army Infantry at the same level as USMC Infantry, and I would put the Army Rangers slightly higher than USMC Infantry. So all in all, you have a better chance of getting into Airborne, The Rangers, or SF than you have of getting into MARSOC, Force Recon, Or Scout Snipers. If you want a true challenge and test, go the USMC route.
