Should i be freaked out about 2012?

Okay, now don't laugh at me if this is a little late or something. But today i was like sitting in class and there was a lot of commotion and stuff and all of a sudden i heard a kid say ... " yeah, isn't the world suppose to end in like 2012?" and idk... i never heard that before ( AGAIN don't laugh if I'm slow) ... but like... idk... it's kinda freaking me out. i tried to read up on it and i just don't know what to think.I personally don't really think it's going to happen but i need some reassurance... so any would be appreciated... :] (again i know I'm a little slow since some people asked this question like a year ago..)

there is nothing to the 2012 doomsday predictions... and as a general rule... ANYTHING whispered about by junior high kids is typically NOT true or important.
