Should I be concerned about my teaching instructor?

I have this teaching instructor at my local community college who was a marine in the military. On his blog, he claims to be, among other things, a machinegunner and beer-drinker. Alcohol and weaponry do not mix. He's also a philosophy instructor in an ethics class. I know philosophy. If taken to extremes, it can lead to dangerous behavior, particularly when you add Nietszche or some other existentialist or absurdist author. Should I be concerned that he's going to machine gun my classroom as some warped ethical statement? Or am I just being hypervigilant because of all the recent college shootings?

I'm just starting to feel uncomfortable to show up to class but I need to be a full--time student to keep my insurance and it's too late to add classes. What should I do? An anonymous reporting to school officials? A chat with the instructor--might not be a good idea if he's dangerous?

I feel unsure what to do. He's a really nice guy and I enjoy his class. But this is worrying.
