Should I ask him to the dance?

There's a dance comming up at my school where the girls ask the guys. I really want to ask this guy I know. However, he's super cute and he's a grade older than I am. And we've only talked like twice. I see him every week because he's in my club at school but that's pretty much it.

Also, how should I ask him?
