Should I apply to university to become a teacher or a lawyer?

I am about to apply to university to start a course in 2010. I am unsure whether to apply for law, or a joint honours in two subjects which i would later use to gain a teaching qualification in Scotland. The problem is, I don't know which one to choose! on one hand, teaching is far more creative and seems beneficial in a more obvious way. But law has a greater salary and seems to be more respectable and allow more money to be spent on the finer (unnecessary :P) things in life. Anyone got any ideas? And i'd be looking to teach Philosophy and another subject if i were to become a teacher.
can't do history never taken it before. I can do Philosophy, English, Business Management, Economics, Modern Studies (Politics)
