16 years ago I had a great career as a Medical Receptionist. Before my wedding I resigned due to personal issues and a few months later my son was born. The marriage did not last long and I brought my child up alone.
I enrolled part-time study for a new career. Then I realized that this is impossible for my direction. Finally I completed a suitable course and received my qualification in 2007. I worked voluntarily at a Health related Charity Organization to update my work experience. I kept my options open and accepted an administrative role at the Metropolitan Police - a 2 years contract, which ended last year.
I am unemployed since. I wish I would not have taken on this contract - unrelated to my career history. Should I keep my options open or shall I apply for Medical Receptionist / Administrative jobs only?
