I was denied from UCSB on monday and I'm in shock! I have a 96.9 GPA, I am in the top 10.5 percent of my graduating class, i have over 400 hours of community service and i come from a single parent home. The only thing i can think of is i had a low SAT score and i am from out-of-state. UCSB is my top choice of college and i was heartbroken when i found out i was rejected. I would like to appeal, but i am afraid of not being accepted. Is it worth it to appeal? and if so what should be my main points in my essay. I want to stand out and show the admissions office who i am and how much i want to be a student at UCSB. Thanks!
