Should I alternate between toning and cardio exercises (e.g. do toning one day and

cardio the next etc)? I've started taking interest in my health and fitness, and have been looking at various ways of exercising. The two most promising so far, for all-round fitness, have been the couch 2 5k exercise (running 3 times a week and gradually progressing until you are able to run 5k) and 8 minute abs/buns/arms and legs. The 8 kinute exercises suggest doing them everyday, but i've heard that you should alternate toning and cardio days?

Also another important question, what would you reccommend would be the best option if i want to focus on all 4 muscle areas? Should i do all 4 every time i do it (perhaps at separate times of the day) or 2 on one day and the other 2 on the next day? Bearing in mind i do not have all the time in the world!!
