Should I add my parents financial info to my fafsa form?

I'm 24 years old my total income last year was $6000. Both my parents aren't doing well financially.

Would it help if I added them on my financial aid form?

Or it doesn't matter because I'm 24?

I'm just trying to get as much financial aid as I can. Any info appreciated. :)
 
If you're 24 and can file independently then do it, do NOT add your parents info.
You'd wind up with less aid no matter how much money they make/don't make.
