BANGKOK (AFX) - Ford Motor Co said it will invest a further 1.0 bln usd in Asia to boost growth in the region, but made no comment about the reported job cuts and plant closures in North America.
'Ford has invested over two billion US dollars in the region. We intend to invest another one billion dollars in products, factories and growth in the Asia Pacific region over the next several years,' Ford president and chief operating officer Jim Padilla told a news conference here.
