Should girls/women with really skinny legs wear denim short shorts?

I have REALLY skinny legs.. they look like sticks ha. =( I'm 14 years old, about 5'0 and I gain 80 pounds. :/ No, I'm not anorexic. -_- I eat a lot but I just can't gain weight. Anyway, I'm going shopping tomorrow and all the shortshorts are on sale for like $10 (regular is like $25).. I've seen many girls wearing them and they look really nice, so.. do you think they'll good on me? I don't have a picture, so.. :/
