Should English course be a required course in university?

Are you being ironic with how you phrased your question?

Absolutely, English courses should be required for all university students, if only to teach students how to write the papers and conduct the research they will need to do for other classes.

But beyond that, Literature classes can teach a student how to challenge their view of the world, how to think critically, and how to maintain a deeper understanding of the world.

Plus, English classes keep me employed.
 
yes because you need english for every subject and what ever you will be learning you will need good grammar and writing skills.
a lot of people lack that
