should doctors have patients of the opposite sex?

i think they should...but i've heard a few awkward moments from men and women that have gotten check-ups from doctors that where of a a opposite gender, i even rember getting checked by a female doctor for my groin injuries and while being exposed from the waist down, i got aroused and all me and her could do is act like the erection wasn't there...while she did her inspection
