Should children under the age of 10 be allowed to play violent video games?

I know many children under the age of 10 who play games such as 'Call of duty'. What are the mental and physical dangers? Why do parents allow their children to play such games?

In your honest opinion, what should be the absolute minimum age requirement to play games such as 'Call of duty'?
