My little girl cut her toes very bad and the ER glued it together with Dermabond. They told me to keep it bandaged for 2 days and then to do whatever I could to keep her from getting dirty or pulling the dermabond off. She does not go in for 2 more days and I have been keeping it wrapped and changing it every day. Will it heal faster if I let the air get to it or should I keep wrapping it till her appointment. It happened 5 days ago. The wounds are still swollen and white but there are no signs of infection. The dermabond did not work very well and some of the wound is still open.
Should an open wound be bandaged all the time?
