Should abuse and infidelity be published in the media?

i need opinions or any information on this topic. Im writing a paper For my english 111 class.... just think of the Chris Brown and Rhianna or tiger woods cases. How do you think this has effected these celebrities. i need feedback ASAP!!!
 
Really I don't think they should. Only because:

- It puts a person's personal life out in the open
- Sometimes the media doesn't know what it's talking about, so could mislead average people about the situation.
