I have devised a formula whereas up to 30% of the Sprint Cup championship points will come from a "fan vote" similar to the Chex MPD award, and the All Star race. Of course the majority of the points would still come from actual racing points.
I think this way fans can have more of a say at who is champion, and maybe we can have a little bit more of a popular driver up there.
I plan on presenting these ideas and formula to the NASCAR brass.
Is this a great plan or what?
