Should 2003 TMNT have ended with the Ninja Tribunal season?

Part of me feels that it should've... Why? Well.. the events of Season 4 were very clearly building up to this moment.. it explains the Shredder's legacy... and seemingly as a response to the whole Utrom Shredder outcry from earlier it reveals that were was indeed a human Shredder. So with that, the stage is set.

In the last episode, Leonardo tells how they are forced to team up with ally and enemy alike to defeat the demon Shredder. The world is saved.. Granted, the Acolytes probably didn't have much of a role (other than the Turtles of course) and to top it off, for once, Hamato Yoshi kills Oroku Saki. And the Turtles walk off into the sunrise, victorious.

So what do you guys thinks? Should the show have ended with this season? Because FF and BttS seemed really unnecessary after I saw the "lost" season.

I could really go both ways with this question. The Fast Forward and Back To The Sewer seasons weren't that bad, but they weren't great either. The final Ninja Tribunal episode would've made for a great series finale. But it's not like the show ended up going on forever like Pokemon or The Simpsons.

I don't think it should have ended there. I think Fast Forward was a stronger season that Ninja Tribunal actually. Once Fast Forward hit its stride halfway through anyway.

And sure, BTTS wasn't very good, but it did have Casey and April's wedding in it, and the excellence of Turtles Forever more than made up for BTTS's shortcomings. Turtles Forever is a much better series finale than "Enter the Dragons Part 2."

Personally I would skew a little earlier, Lap of The Gods may not have been quite where TMNT jumped the shark but it was definitely heading for the ramp.

The Ninja Tribunal arc felt very tacked on, it didn't flow naturally from the previous seasons with all the retcons and DBZ style energy attacks. It was almost like the turtles suddenly got dropped into a completely different show.

And if the only reason for creating Tengu Shredder was to appease a handful of angry Internet nerds then they really shouldn't have bothered. Especially when they already had a fine Shredder in the form of Karai.

On the other hand we eventually got Turtles Forever so it was worth it in the long run.

I always viewed Fast Forward, Ninja Tribunal, and Back to the Sewer as a completely and new TMNT series, being sequels to the first four seasons. I didn't see enough of the last three seasons so I really can't have a good opinion.

While I could see TMNT ending after the events of the Ninja Tribunal, it was nice to see a couple of more seasons of the series. Despite Fast Foreword's problems, especially in the early half of the series, it got much more enjoyable during the later half. There were also a few fun and good episodes in BttS, such as Casey and April's wedding. Besides that, I think that Turtles Forever was a much better finale than either the Ninja Tribunal or the ending to BttS could have been. I agree with mumbo that it was worth going through two seasons that were fine, but could have been better, to see a movie like Turtles Forever.

Well if fast forward was not rushed into production and it came naturally after a 26 episode long True Shredder season it might have been a different season quality wise. So no i don't besides no Fast forward means no "Timing is everything" and that is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series.
