My psychiatrist is putting me on short term disability now but does not want to "fill out the paperwork for long term disability. I am bipolar and can no longer do my job - can't concentrate, have anxiety, depression, can't learn, am sad and cry a lot agitated and irritable. There are too many distractions, I am overwhelmed easily and I cannot focus. Am I protected by law to have ability to go out on long-term disability even though my doctor doesn't want this because it's "a pain" for him.
