This story had to be based on a research archive.
I chose an article on how smoking used to facilitate flirting in bars.
The short story is about a girl (recently dumped) who's back out in the dating world after the smoking ban came in. She reminisces about her past relationship and how the two of them met due to their smoking habit.
Their relationship is mirrored by their filthy habit. They both gave up together while going out. Their relationship lasted three years. In their final year things between them go sour. The guy (Nick) didn't want to be single again and started having the odd cigarette without her knowing.
Now that she has given up smoking and is single again, she finds herself craving her old habit.
The story really does sound like rubbish but I don't have time to write another. It's a light hearted comedy.
It's current title is 'Bad for your health, Good for your love life'
Any title suggestions out there?
