Her smile set; the tears she cried
Drops of rain; her heart never satisfied
Sinking deeper through, the days collide
Unknown of the power she beholds, yet the poison that condemned.
The longing for sanity, triggers the unwanted
What to do, How to be; they come all too easily.
A switch of a blade, A cut of the wrist
A wall of pain; the day blackened.
Familiar voices consume the night, she distraught by the pain it brought.
The sun rises, the voices cease, the anxiety comes to an end.
As if a puppet pulled by a string, the right edge of her lip curls,
Suddenly all is in place.
Trickery and deceit; she plays the game all too well
Porcelain she seems; broken she fell.

Walking the same familiar pattern at a different pace, everything she loved had fallen out of place.
The diminishing thoughts, the physical pain. A lifetimes endurance envisioned unimaginable.
Time was lost and memories erased, searching for an escape she couldn’t seem to find
Night after night, drinking away her pain
The following day, a treacherous reminder she’s still there.

A shield was cast when light arose, while her soul crumbled within the shadows.
Voice after voice she heard
The overwhelming feeling of someone else taking the lead.
“Stop it!” she yelled. “Please, just stop!!” As she forcefully pressed her hands upon her ears, she sank to the floor.
The room began to spin, hot tears running down her cheek
Gluttony and greed, wrath and despair.
Her light began to fade.
“Maybe there truly is no escape.”
Only momentary distractions that just lead her back to the harsh reality she wished to leave.
Bruises accumulated on her arms and inner legs like the swift numbness infecting her body
As she sat on the iced floor, her porcelain face grew to a ghostly white.
Her heavy eyes no longer having a warm displaced glow, but a cold, glazed over appearance.
Her body, finally lay relaxed in the depth of the morning while the sun paid it’s condolences, laying a single warm beam of it’s light upon her fragile body
