Shoplifting under 18 charge in canada?

My brother just got charged for stealing about $3500 from where he worked. He took about $20 a shift for about 3 months. He just got a subpoena to report to court. He is being charged for shoplifting under $5000. Can you please tell me what kind of charge he can get? Like max and minimum sentence
