Shipped an item via usps media mail w/ confirmation but after a week there is no record?

When I try to track the package on usps.com it saids there is no record for this item. Its been a week since i dropped the package off at the post office yet still no record? Now the buyer is complaining that he still haven't received the books yet. I hate usps ..last time they opened my package because they didn't believe me it was books which further delayed its shipping time.
 
deliver confirmation numbers are ONLY for delivery confirmation ONLY
they are NOT tracking numbers
that's why there is no Information because the package hasn't been delivered yet! once its delivered then will be an update
