IT's a wonderful animed musical about the freindship between a slutry female alley cat and a love starved poet who is a cockaroach!

I saw it years ago when my teacher made the mistake of showing it to my elementary school class, then on broadcast TV some years later. Great stuff if you can find it. I think it's available on Amazon streaming video for a fee. There is a free clip there too, IIRC, but it barely gets you through the opening credits.

Yeah, it's about Mehitabel the Cat and Archy the cockroach. It's based on the work of a newspaper columnist - I think his first name was Don - who used to pretend that a cockroach in his office filled in as guest columnist from time to time. Archy would talk about Mehitabel's escapades and comment on the human condition and so on. Classic stuff. Haven't seen the film in ages - I'll have to go look it up.
