I decorated a piggy bank for a christmas gift using sharpies... (I was truly hoping not to have to buy ceramic paints and just use what I had onhand) The marker is taking very well, my problem comes in finishing the pig. I've tried two different spray glosses but they are turning the white ceramic part a tan color... any suggestions to what I can do differently to keep the pig white while still using sharpies? should i paint the pig white first? apply gesso? any ideas are welcome.. i did try priming the piggy first but the sharpie no longer took to the primer...
sharpies on unglazed ceramic..?
