sharpie on backpack? ways to get out?

somebody recently thought it was funny to write something on my ll bean backpack and i had to scribble it out, and i wanteed to know if there was a way that i could get the sharpie completely out, or at least close to out?
thanks, it would mean a lot to me

Aerosol hairspray. Wet down the stain, and then blot with a paper towel. Keep doing it until the stain is gone. Even if it fades out the backpack, it is already ruined.
