hello everyone, I was wondering what could cause sudden sharp shooting pains in the elbow while sleeping? It has never happened before but has been keeping him up for hours now. Ice helps a tiny bit, but his whole body tightens up when he suddenly feels the pain on the inside and outside of his elbow. There doesn't look like there's too much swelling, in fact nothing really looks wrong at all to the naked eye.. he's a strong man but the sudden pain almost reduces him to tears.. he still has full mobility of his elbow although it hurts to do it and can't really lift anything with that arm very well.. any thoughts?
when looking online I saw a lot about tennis and golfers elbow but neither seem to fit because he was sleeping when he suddenly woke up in pain and it's on both sides of the elbow not just one..
He always refuses to see the doctor. Very bull headed... cubital tunnel syndrome doesn't seem to fit but thank you everyone for your advice.. we're gonna see if I can help him fall asleep and if the pain is gone tmro.. hopefully.. thanks again everyone..
