I am a female and I had hernia surgery on the right side right in the pubic area in 2006. Lately, when I wake up or if I go to stretch my arms and back, I feel a sharp pain in the spot that the scar is from the surgery. It is painful and I have to stop stretching and bend over when I feel the pain. Has anyone else felt this or does anyone know what could be causing it?
