I have a sharp pain on my left side near my heart. I used to get it a couple times a year at most, I could get rid of it by laying still and taking short, quick breaths. Recently though, they've been getting more frequent. My older sister told me that it my be a raw spot, a place where nerves were highly sensitive, and when gas touched it, it would hurt. She told me I should try Prevacid. I used it for a week, and the pain was gone for a few months. But know it started happening again. I was laying in bed and I couldn't even get up because it hurt so much. Once I did get up though, I started burping after I drank some water. Does anybody know what this could be?
P.S I gave up soda a few months ago, around August. Could that have anything to do with it?
