sharp pain in pinky toe?

this started maybe saturday its not every step i take that hurts just a random step sends a sharp pain through my toe its not red bruised or anything it looks normal but i sit here and put pressure on every part of my pinky to with my hand and not a single pain at all anyone know what could be wrong?
