I had surgery a week ago but this is a new pain that started today. It is going on 8 hours since the pain started and it is not diminishing. I don't know whether it is just gas or if I should be more concerned. It feels like a rib stabbing me when I try to lay down or even when just walking. i am 47 years old. Could I be having a heart attack?
