sharp lower back pain?

about a 2 years ago i had a herniated L3/L4 disc and given a number of treatments one of which was a epidural shot. I still have pain and limited movement now i think its getting worse im having sharp intense pains from my lower back to my hip then to my knee like a lightning bolt it locks my hip up it hurts so bad, ive lost much sleep over the past week. Is it possible for my disc still be herniated? what can i do im 24 and ive tried stretching ive tried muscle relaxers nothing seems to work please and any help would be greatly appreciated
