I had my wisdom tooth and molar in front extracted yesterday. The wisdom tooth was impacted so I had stitches after the removal. It's been 24hrs since removal and I keep getting this strange sharp feeling. As If i was biting into ice cream but there is no tooth there to feel the sensation. I am thinking this could be the beginning of a dry socket. There is a LOT of swelling there and it is also aching..
I have done everything I can to avoid the dreaded dry socket. Not sucked on a straw, I don't smoke. Have not spat and have eaten soup with yogurt,
Does this sound like the onset of dry socket? I can't help but think it's because the air is hitting the bone.
