Sharp chest pains, gas or heart diease?

I've had a high cholesterol count of 209 since I was 10 years old, I'm 20 now. I've been having cheat pains as long as I can remember plus I have a history of heart diease in my family. Including my father who had triple bypass surgery. My father thinks it's just gas but I think it's more serious. It's a sharp pain unlike anything you can imagine and it paralyze me until it stops and I grip my chest as hard as I can. What medicine is prescribed for the pain
