Hi, I have a SHARP Carousel 1100W microwave and it has stopped working as far as heating food goes. Its current state is a large and fancy clock timer display case. So by that i mean everything works except the heating my food part. It had developed a small hole in the wave guide (metal plate on the side) through sparking itself. I would like to know what could be wrong and if i can just open it up and replace the fuse inside and then take off the wave guide and use it without it--will it work? Or what should i do?
OK, listen, I really want to know if its more likely to be a fuse or the magnetron that's gone bad. The wave guide is inexpensive to replace. i found the part at home depot's website for like $5.
