Share the road with bicycles? Why?

I don't get it, I am supposed to share the road with bikes. Yet, they pay no registration, a car does, those fees go towards the roads.
The bikes pay no gas tax, that goes towards the roads. So, basically, a car driver pays the fees that a cyclist does not.
Rules of the road, when is the last time you saw a bicycle stop at a red light or stop sign? Very rarely, they hop the curb and ride the sidewalk during red lights while cars wait.
They ride down the middle of the lane on county roads and expect the cars to drive in the opposing lane.
I have had my car hit by cyclists' fists in SF who don't like the fact that I creep out of parking lots to avoid being hit.
I have had it with bicycles. WHY do we share the road with them? An electric car uses hardly any energy and pays taxes why shouldn't bikes? Why should they enjoy a "free ride"?

I personally don't think bikes should ride on the roads because of safety. Locally, three men have died as a result of being hit by cars on their bikes in one month.

But regarding the tax issue, just because someone bikes occasionally doesn't mean they don't have a car also.
