Shakespeare not a Catholic? Bashed on "poetry question"?

Shakespeare was no doubt a closet Catholic in a time when to be one meant imprisonment. Read "The Quest for Shakespeare." He did not believe in God? Why does Hamlet hesitate to kill his uncle, the King, while he is at prayer. If you are going to sift for inaccuracies, please acknowledge correctness. As for Dylan Thomas and Sylvia Plath, I was making the connection between lack of faith and despair/suicide, in Thomas' case, by the bottle.

sylvia plath committed suicide which had no relevance to religion, though plenty to despair I suspect.

dylan thomas's death had nothing to do with suicide. and even less to do with a lack of faith
