hello i am trying to find out if afella coujd change asuzuki gs650g from shaft to chain drive tryin to build a mild drag bike could use some help thanks

It CAN be done.... I've seen it done to other shaft drive bikes, but there is a lot of design and fabrication involved. There are no lits for this sort of thing, so you would have to fabricate a one-off set up for yourself.

Sure, sell the GS650G and buy a bike with a chain.
Seriously, it will cost you more to even consider that kind of modification than to just pick up a new bike.

What is this . . . "Ask Inspiron"??

Yo, Jim, you got any way to soften up the skin on the bottoms of my feet? I've tried everything . . . bath beads . . . stones . . . I even tried one of those louffa mitts . . . nothing's working for me.

:D

:welcomes: Brandon!

Rowdy's a moderator and what he did was close the thread with your question and put a link to the thread that had the same question on it. That way you're not getting answers on two different threads. :bluethum:

Yup. Actually, this thread now has responses to the same question from three different threads. We like to keep things tidy around here.

Those one-off shaft to chain or chaft to belt conversions are sort of like asking if you can put a Chevy 454 V-8 into your Dodge Neon: you have to just sort of make it up as you go. There is no kit, no set way of doing it, and no one can explain how in a couple paragraphs. Sure, anything is possible, but either you have the knowledge, tools, and fabrication ability to dive in and figure it out, or you don't. So dive on in. You might start by hanging out at the drag strip on bike nights and seeing if you can spot a drag bike poweres by a motor that came froma shaft drive bike. This will at least give you some idea of what you are getting into, and if it would be worth it to you.
