I am 16 and while I don't entirely believe in celibacy, I don't think most high school relationships are ready for sex. That being said, I also know how one minute you can be kissing and the next your pants are off.
Recently, things have been getting really physical with my boyfriend and I don't think I am ready for sex but I think he might be. I'm am not going to let myself get pressured into something I'm not ready for and I know that if he breaks up with me because I don't want to have sex with him (which I don't think he would do, but it's always a possibility with high school guys) he isn't worth it.
My question now, is do I tell him right now that I'm not ready. Or do I wait until something happens where I have to stop it to tell him. I am getting mixed advice from the people close to me. Some say you need to talk to him now and tell him how you feel and others say nooo you don't need to do that unless you know he wants it and tries something.
So what do you think. Sorry this was long. And thank you for your advice.
