we have family friend who is registered as sex offender in the state of mi, as Attempted Criminal Sexual Conduct-3rd Degree (Person 13-15). she apparently got permission to go to ny thats what the mi offender list said, now it says va which we know she went there for about 2 months she was there for a month before registering now on va offender list it has ny as her address and that she is violent (we have no idea why it says this) whereas mi does not say that.....my question how can she go from state A, to state B not register then go to state C and register but not get in trouble??? when we do bring up registerin g in ny she almost throws a fit saying she doesn't have to register but we did find out definitely that she does, if she was registered in ny it would seem to me that she would likely say i am but its not public or something to that effect...... any info would be helpful no sarcastic or rude remarks please i'm just wondering we were told to by a detective that if she didn't register in ny within 30 days then she would more than likely go to jail when and if they stopped her she's been in ny since 2007.......
