Sex Offender laws in California?

We have a child sex offender who moved into our neighborhood recently. Can I warn my neighbors about this individual, or should I just be quiet? I have two kids and I know there are alot of kids in our area. What should I do? I want to tell everyone so they are at least informed.
 
I would tell them for the safety of their children, they have to register anyway so people who go on www.familywatchdog.us will know the exact location of sex offenders all around your neighborhood
