I am a 20 year old college student who is living at home in order to save my parents quite a bit of money. (I am a guy) Last semester i wanted to have a friend over and truthfully we probably would have had sex. Being 20 i figured my mom would be fine with him staying over and just decided to ask her as a courtesy ( it is my parents house) if this person could stay over. She said yes but then thought about it and made a remark that maybe she shouldn't let this person stay over because of the possibility of sexual contact. She made it clear that sexual contact was unacceptable even though we are both over 18. I was flabbergasted and frankly i felt like she was treating me like an adolescent Middle school/ High School student. I feel that since i am 20 years old and in college i should be able to do anything i want as long as i keep it confined to my room and as long as it is legal. Is this an unreasonable request? Or should my parents respect the fact that i am an adult now and allow me to do adult things?
