sex hurts and i have no idea why?

me and my boyfriend have been having sex for about 8 months and just recently did it start hurting the only way i can describe it is it feels swollen or tight at the beginning what is wrong with me this feels terribly uncomfortable and is basically keeping me from having sex, thank you
 
Make sure that you're wet enough, and that you're relaxed! Sometimes if you're nervous or in an unfamiliar environment where you're a little bit unsettled you can be tighter or more dry without really knowing it. To be wet enough, make sure you two indulge in lots of foreplay so that it makes it easier for him to penetrate.
