Sex giving me contractions?

Okay so me and my boyfriend have been having sex to try and induce labour, it gives me pains for hours after, that are regular about 3 minutes apart but the pains are just like period pains that are bearable. After about 6 hours they stop. I even get these pains when i dont orgasm. I no there is a chemical in sperm that causes the cervix to soften is this what could be happening? i get the pains straight away when were finished. I was 1cm dilated 4 weeks ago which the contractions caused but they stopped. I dont get checked again until next week. Any info u cud give me wud be great

First of all, you should not be trying to induce your own labour until after you are due, anything else is probably not going to work in yours or the baby's favour.
38 weeks is close, but it is not due, and any decent doctor should be discouraging self induction so early for no reason.

It sounds like your body is naturally preparing itself for labour anyway.

Unbearable pain itself should tell you to STOP trying! Don't keep putting yourself through pain just so you can have the baby a few weeks early.

Baby is on it's way, just rest.
