Sex for the first time. Advice Please!?

I was in love with my best guy friend for 7 years. He began dating this girl and I decided to wait before I said something. A year went by and I finally told him even though he was with her. I felt a little guilty but I couldnt not tell him any longer. 8 months past and he broke up with her and we have been together for 2 months. I am truly in love with him and know that I am ready for sex. I know it seems quick but I have known him for 7 years. He is way more experienced than me and he knows I am a virgin. Please give any advice for me, its greatly appreciated.
Just in case you're wondering , I am 23 and he is 26
 
well i think he probably already knows that you might want to but because you were his best friend he might want to br really respectful and he Just might think that you are not ready give it some time and don't rush!-good luck! =D
