This looks really good and has got good reviews.

It's a biopic on Ian Dury and the trailer does do it justice i think.

Anyone else plan on seeing this?

I saw this tonight and I agree with the 5 stars; the film is a bit all over the place, very arthouse, but I don't mind. Andy Serkis is really really good as the lead. Watching it I was actually a bit surprised he's not a bigger actor than he is. Anyway, I recommend this highly.

I think Andy Serkis is an excellent actor and Ian Dury was one of my favourite artists in my youth so I am definitely hoping to get along to see this. Just hope it sticks around in cinemas long enough.

Saw it today (sold out two weeks in a row at the Brixton Ritzy then taken off:confused: - finally saw it at The Curzon in London).

Superb film.

Actually thought the way it was structured worked very well.

Quite honestly Andy Serkis gives one of the best performances I've ever seen - got Ian Dury absolutely spot on. The support cast, in the shape of Dury's wife and son and Chas Jankel were excellent too.

It's not 'Hollywood' so won't win big awarRAB but Serkis would deserve an Oscar.

It's a great film all about the life of Ian's son Baxter ;)

Nah, seriously though, really good although a bit higgeldy-piggeldy in term of chronology it seems to work and Andy Serkis is just spot-on as Dury. The lad who played Baxter reminRAB me of the kid who was in 'About a Boy' so hopefully he'll have a good future too.

5 stars, deffo....now when's the DVD out? Maybe the end of March to mark the tenth anniversay of Ian's death, or am I pushing my luck a bit?!
