Having been a huge fan of the show for years I can say its well worth the wait.
Its strange A/ being a TV to film conversion, and B/ its been a few years since it ended, so you dont know what to expect.
It was either Darren Starr or SJP last week who said "It's everything you expected, and everything you didnt"
Its not without its flaws like most films, but its an amazing movie and I hope you enjoy it.
Its on for 2 hours 15 minutes. There are a couple of twists I didnt see coming, and there were a couple I wish I hadnt had spoilt. There is also a nice vibe in the theatre during the film that you dont usually get. When I went the audience were not only laughing out loud, but they cheering and applauding at parts too
IMO this show and movie is SO overrated! The acting is awful and the so called actors/actressess are rubbish.
Why do people rave over SJP? She looks like a horse and the others? Are we really supposed to believe these are women in their 30s looking for love? Do me a favour!!!

Andy why does everyone always seem to be so obsessed with SJP's looks? Who cares? She is not ugly I dont know why so many people like to slag her off. She doesnt come across as some big headed bimbo who thinks she is beautiful so I dont know why so many people have a go?

SATC was always compared to DHW when it first came out, anything with a group of women in the show always was. Don't know why because SATC never had any scope on the series that DHW has and long may it reign. Better storylines and actresses.
SATC, imo, is about sad middle aged women looking for love. Haven't we got past that now!

What's wrong with looking for love in your 30's. Are you saying that anyone over 30 & looking for love is sad, middle aged & past it or is it just the ladies in the movie? All the ladies in Desperate Housewifes are over 30 too. The only difference is that they are married & have families (apart from Edie who would fit into Sex & The City perfectly!). I'm 41, married & have a family so I have more in common with the Desperate Housewifes but I love Sex & The City because it's fun & reminRAB me of what life was like before I became a sad, middle aged housewife .
As for Sarah Jessica Parker & the other ladies, they may not be stunningly beautiful but they are certainly not ugly & in my opinion are far better looking & more talented than the likes of Angelina Jolie & the supermodel Kate Moss.
