Sex and love - please decode this guy's words for me?

After over a year together (and me secretly wondering why he had never said 'I love you'), my boyfriend mentioned love. We had been in bed together for hours (as usual) and he was staring at me... he said "ummm" and there was a long pause. Then he said "I am falling in love with you... ...a little bit". I laughed 'just a little bit". Am not sure what this means in terms of how a guy thinks and behaves.
I mean, he treats me very well, says things like "i'd like to grow old with you" and "Am I allowed a pup when you get your kitten", so he seems to dream about a future together.
We are both 27 and in a long distance relationship at the moment. When I left after spending Christmas with him, he gave me the money for a flight back to NY to see him again soon.

What do you all make of this?

From what he has said, I wouldn't be worried. He is very much in love with you, but I'm guessing he doesn't want to sound sappy or keep his man hood by just saying he loves you "a little bit." He is very much thinking about a future with you, so I wouldn't sweat it, he likes you, and loves you, very much. Good luck!

Men use love to get sex (and he's getting it without the love)
and women use sex to get love...

some people "fall" in love easily and some don't... if you need to hear "I LOVE YOU", then you are gonna be disappointed...
