I'm 39 weeks pregnant and have had rip pain on and off threw out. The rip pain I had in my first and second trimester were the normal "growing pains". I wouldn't even call it pain, just soreness It was never enough to stop me from working, driving, etc.. Two days ago I started to have just a little of (what my definition of) pain in my lower right ribs. It wasn't severe but enough to make it hard for me to sit. I went to sleep and it went away that next day. Now last night, seemingly out of no where I get even worse pain in the left side of my rip cage, just a little worse than that of the right. I go to sleep again, and it goes away. So, today I wake up and every thing is fine. I take a 20 minute drive to my aunts house and the minute I open my door it's like all hell has broken loose and taken it's revenge on my bones. One minute I was fine, the next I can barely summon up enough strength to lift myself up and out of the car. I'm no wuss, I would say that I have a very good tolerance for pain. This is not pain, this is white hot fire burning at my rip cage. I can't call my Ob until Monday because of the thanksgiving holiday. I caved and took two tylenol and am wearing a heat wrap. Does this sound as though I've some how broken something? I'm naturally a small person, Is is possible that my son could have broken a rip? I know this cannot be one of those normal pregnancy aches.
