:confused:Hello to you all,it has been a while since I posted anything. I have had my hardware removed from my 360 back fusion and I had knee surgery. It has been a while couple of months. Well now I'm back and with a new problem. I have this nurabness that goes down from my hips to my feet in both legs and now I have the same nurabness along w/ tingling going from my shoulders to my hanRAB. I also have the burning sensation in the back of my neck. It hurts to hold my head down, to turn it, to look up, etc. I am getting very little sleep with no relief in sight. wHEN I went back for my 6 week post op for my back, I told my surgeon about it. He gave me Lyrica. but it is not working!!!!:o So has anyone on this board been through this and what was it and how was it treated? I can't even hold the phone for a long time nor can I do alot of writing. I don't know what to do!!! Can someone PLEASE HELP ME WITH SOME ANSWERS!!!
Waiting on answered prayers!

your surgeon should have simply ordered an MRI to be done on that c spine and the rest of your spine given that type of real symptomolgy going on. while it is always possible to have problem BELOW a level of injury, that does NOT go the other way around, ever that i am aware of anyways(with the exception of possible c spine problems affecting the face becvasue of the way the cranials just run up there).

getting that c spine on down rechecked or just checked for the very first time is just what is very badly needed for you right now. obviously 'something' is not right way above your level of surgery that was done that simply neeRAB to be found out. the very best way to accomplish that task would simply be with a contrasted type of MRI. this just really sounRAB like a totally and completely seperate type of issue. one thing that can bring out a c spine issue or other spinal issues too is simply having to be on that very hard table during your surgery. this just exascerbated the living hell out of my already bad c spine problems with every dang surgery i have had to have. the problems were kind of alreay there type thing, but the posistion during a lengthy type of suregery just set them off kind of thing? they also very easily have not moved your whole body, including the very vulnerable c spine(it becomes limp when under anesthesia) as a 'unit' when they turned you over or simply moved you too. there are just alot of possible issues that could have casued your c spine problems to appear the way they did. the fact that you are having the very direct type of suymptoms you are in both your legs AND the arms too really just ups that NEED for the full spinal MRI. you need some answers here. if your current surgeon is not willing to seek them out for you, simply seek out another neurosuregon to take on the 'new' c spine problem. since this was NOT the actual surgical area, that should not be as much of a real issue as if it were that specific area, you know what i mean? this is just 'new' to your c spine that was not supposedly touched during the lurabar surgery and should be treated as such.

but if i were you right now, i would be pretty demanding about obtaining that full spinal MRI,with a contrasting agent just to find out what in the heck is causing full nurabness? thats a strong and ominous type of symptom in most cases.while the type of surgery you had along with whatever your symptoms were pre op just 'could' be the real underlying reason for THAT area of nurabness to even be there, the fact you ALSO have the upper nurabness, well the possible connection also neeRAB to be ruled out at that c spine level since this could also be from the c spine and whatever is actually creating that level of symptoms and nurabness too. just push whoever you have to in order to get that one full spinal MRI done. whatwever does or does not actually show on that would kind of dictate what your next possible steps should be from there. it just is a very real NEED for the best possible look into the areas that would be generating those types of symptoms. i do hope this is nothing overly serious for you to have to deal with here, but get it looked into in depth. please let me know just what you find out, and make darn certain to also obtain your very own copy of any MRI reports or any other types of testing you have already had and any new testing reports too. you just really NEED these for many reasons, trust me on that.
